Based on the shape of the last years test winner, Tabou brings forward the evolution of the ‘classic wave’ board – Da Curve. The boards are shorter with a new tail rocker line, which gives the board a more reactive nature without loosing what made the previous years so easy and radical. Designed for sailors who want a carving board with lots of speed and control in the turns and especially down-the-line windsurfing, making it easy to draw powerful curves in medium to big waves with full speed.

POCKET WAVE 2005

The “New School Wave Board” is ultra compact with its super short turning radius and easy planning ability make moves happen easier than ever– the Pocket Wave’s super short wide board allows easy motion while retaining planning speed.

Designed so that you can do incredible tight turns with a stylish attitude, the Pocket waves lets you get into the waves Pocket! The Pocket Waves width makes it a very forgiving board that will allow you to rip-it-up in marginal conditions but also set you free in epic conditions.
The wide tail make’s the pocket wave an excellent jumper and very easy to do aerials even without maximum board speed, its the best board for small to medium waves.

FREESTYLE 2005

The contest board designed for our team riders - they needed the Tabou Freestyle to be the most forgiving board, super light, quick to plane, easy to position and exactly what they need when trying to pull out their new moves.

The Freestyle has super light construction on a thin, wide compact board. This allows the Freestyle board to plane and jump very quick. The double deck shape gives a unique looking board with full rail - still with the comfort of a round deck. Light, planning, forgiving. You have no more excuses.

ROCKET AIR 2005

Although the Rocket Air is an insane onshore wave board its designed for cross discipline action, the Rocket Air is a new school convertible board – perfect for wave, free ride, and freestyle. If you search for only one board, this is the all in one board.

In waves it’s an incredibly fast board and very loose. The wave outline and rails give the Rocket Air some very powerful wave abilities and especially the step kicked rail with the swallow tail makes the board very good in short turns.

In free ride it’s very fast, smooth and easy to control the board. The board has a straighter free ride rocker line than last years design– this ensures planning earlier and faster. The deep concaves make the Rocket Air very smooth, so you will hardly feel the chop. In freestyle the early planning plus the width and the special step tail makes it easy and forgiving.

X ROCKET 2005

Getting a board to do everything perfectly is never easy. The newest windsurfing discipline called Super X requires a perfect board. One board that can go as fast as a slalom board, turn like a wave board and jump like a rocket were the design parameters for the X rocket the perfect Bump & Jump Board. Even though this board was designed for Super X Performance, most every windsurfer in the world has been waiting for a board like this.

Matt Pritchard was hungry to win the Super X World Championship, so we developed the perfect board to support his quest. The X Rocket was designed to be super fast so he could jibe full speed - come out as fast as he entered, and jump with added ease. To make the best Super X board we have researched the action movements required and allowed extra attention to be taken in the rocker, outline and rail combination - which produced the X Rocket that is very fast and easy to control and excellent for turning.

ROCKET 2005

The Performance light wind freeride board.

The developments of the Rocket include a shorter overall length and greater attention has been given to rail details – making a more compact shape. This means the Rocket is easy to control while tacking, stable while pulling the sail out of the water, and an excellent example of a very lively board with good up wind ability and effortless jibes. While the Rocket boards are easy to plane and glide fast they are also very comfortable in chop so you won’t need to be sailing over powered to get the best performance.

MANTA 2005

The Tabou new age slalom board - super short, wide style. The Manta was designed to increase the average speed over a distance consistently higher than a conventional slalom board. This increased average board speed is partially achieved by the Manta’s wide style short outline that reduces nose lift with a higher rocker line in the front and makes the board plane easy through chop.

This board has a deep double concave into the front section of the bottom shape that has an effective chop smoothing effect. Combine the wide front outline that allows you to carry big sails with a narrow tail that gives you the top end speed and you have a winner – the Manta is ideal for slalom or speed.
Special consideration for on board sailor comfort has been given to make the deck shape ergonomically easy to use so you do not get tired during long distance and slalom adventures. Constructed with Carbon Sandwich Technology makes the board super light and stiff which increases the performance level you can expect. The Manta is the slalom/long distance board you need to win.

COOL RIDER 2005

As the name suggests the Cool Rider board is designed for people who want to start windsurfing and want to feel that they are making a positive choice for their lifestyle. Tabou plans to develop two board sizes in the Cool Rider range – the first for the Entry level windsurfer, a steady board designed with a dagger board for extra stability and another more advanced board designed to be super easy for new sailors learning.

The target market will be seeking an economical, comfortable, and user-friendly board – the Cool Rider.
